How is BF4
« on: November 20, 2013, 08:54:28 AM »
I'm still debating, about purchasing BF4.

Would like to hear your thoughts & opinions, about it.
How does it compare to BF2, Bad Company, BF3?

Hi Drooling.  It is pretty fun.  same type of gameplay as bf3 imo, however, graphics, weapons etc, alot better.  Buy it and join in.

Bear, that is a powerful statement. How can it compare? BF2 and especially the mods were soooo good.

Its better than BF2 up to the point of no mods, other than that, it looks better...and plays better.  There are some problems, but as with all software, they will get it sorted.  Commander, spectator mode, and squad speak...big improvement over bfbc2/bf3.

The vehicles are nowhere near as good as BF2, they're about the same as BF3. They're there but that's about it.

I don't think there are very many good maps, maybe 2-3.  The verticality of a lot of the maps breaks the flow for me. They seem to degrade quickly to large groups on rooftops sniping the few guys going for objectives while the helo's fight over the right to drop their snipers onto the buildings.

There are also the standard DICE latency issues, but they seem a bit better than when BF3 first came out.

Those are a few of my complaint's with the game without being too overly critical. These other guys probably know better if you would like it since they're the ones you've played with for the pat couple of games.

Well, if you buy it today online you can get it for $19.99 or $24.99 or just translate to 60% off any flavor of BF4.

Follow the instructions on this page:

http://www.gadgetreview.com/2013/11/the ... undup.html

get a $10.00 off coupon and then follow the directions to purchase from EA and add the coupon code.  I got the digital delux edition download for $24.99 plus tax.

It's only good for the black Friday sale.  So get your game on and don't miss this deal if you have been waiting for the price to drop.

Thanks to NoEviL, he messaged me about the deal and I just now purchased it.  Downloading it now.

Hurry if you want the deal.  Not sure how long it will last.  A $70.00 game for $25.00 is not a joke.

Hope you catch the deal in time.

Spread the word.

Thankfully, I only paid $27.08 for it. I think the graphics are awesome, but the vehicles pretty much suck-OP. Every map a snipefest. Enemy hiding out of bounds and many other annoyances turn the game into a shitfest. I don't see much of the teamwork BF2 had. Interactions between squads and the Commander is just about non-existant unless all are on TS and then the other team gets all the intel as well.

ARMA II DAYZ mod is far superior in most respects. Have to give the nod to BF4 graphics though.

Well, after playing more I've come to the conclusion that-wait for it Metal-I did not waste my $27.08. The game frustrates me but it doesn't outweigh the fun most of the time. I'm cursing at least as much as I did in BF2 though.

I think it is a lot better than BF3. Added some interesting new features, commander, flags aren't all set up in lines like they were in BF3. I have already played more BF4 than my entire time playing BF3. Its no BF2 but I'm enjoying it.
