Announcements / DM A/B Team Roster System For 2016
« on: September 10, 2015, 12:28:42 AM »
DM A/B Team Roster System For 2016

Team Names:
Since it is very likely that at some point we will have some riders on the "amateur" team that will be qualifying for pro events in 2016. We are doing away with the "pro" and "amateur" labels. What was formerly the pro roster will now be referred to as the A-Team roster, and what was formerly the amateur roster will be referred to as the B-Team roster.

EDIT:
The team selection system has been heavily revised since it was announced a few weeks ago. This is the new system.

The shootout concept has been scrapped. What was going to be the shootout (October 13th @ Bercy) will now serve as a team photoshoot/video session. We're also looking at it as a fun race/SX testing race.

Selection:

The admins will vote on the rosters based off of 2015 results. 8 will be voted onto the A-Team (Pro), and 10 will be on the B-Team (Am). The rosters will be announced the weekend after the final MXGP round.

Challenges:

If a rider feels as though he was snubbed by the admin vote, or if at some point during SX a rider feels they are performing better than a pro. The amateur rider can challenge the pro to a 1v1 race. If the amateur wins they will move onto the pro roster. With the pro either moving down a spot in the pro ranking or dropping down to the amateur roster.

A rider may challenge 2 times throughout a season.

Team Photoshoot/Video/Test Race:

We still ask that as many DM riders as possible show up for the Bercy race on October 13th. There will be a team edit made out of it, and a team photoshoot. So there's really no reason to just skip it. It'll also show off your SX skills.

Announcements / 2016 Dead Meat MXS Plans
« on: September 02, 2015, 11:03:35 PM »
There are several changes for DM going into 2016. So we decided to make a post outlining it all.

Teams:

Here are the preliminary pro and amateur 2016 rosters. Now we will have a new system that we will use to determine the final pro/amateur teams leading into 2016. But we will post more info about that within the next month.

Pro:
Grant Dawson
Sean Klein
Johnnie  McIntyre
Grant Slater
Ethan Parks
Zac Corbett
Caleb Stillman

Amateur:
Jeff Johnson
Angelo Cribari
Anthony Conti
Eric O'Connor
Roman Rositani
Aaron Bonneau
Zach Ebert

Inactive Roster:
MrAmazing
Motoagogo
Nick Kuenzig
Lonnie Parsons
Triston Wyatt

Sponsors:

Something completely new for DM in 2016 is the addition of two real life sponsors. DM will be sponsored by Ride 365 and Novik gloves. This sponsorship includes the team and the championships we run, but mainly focuses on championships. They may provide a few things we can give to team riders though.

Team Gear:

- Gear: Ride 365
- Helmets: Bell & 6D
- Boots: Gaerne & Alpinestars
- Gloves: Novik

Team Bikes:

- Brand: Yamaha
- Sponsors on bike: Yamaha, Ride 365, Novik, Dead Meat, FMF, MotoSport.com

Championships:

DM will host a variety of championships in 2016. The first of which will probably be in the spring.

Race Events / 2015 Dead Meat MXGP Pro/Am Championships Info
« on: August 20, 2015, 06:22:56 PM »
Our next MX Simulator series will be a world motocross grand prix series featuring 6 rounds. We have expanded the racing a bit this time around by adding a pro class as well, all the info is below. Keep in mind we are still doing the "Open" format, which means you can ride whatever bike you want. We most likely will not expand to 250/450 classes until 2016.

Pro Class Info:

Quick Bits:
- Wednesday's @ 9:00 PM EST
- 2 Moto's, 25 minutes + 2 laps each
- Open Format
- 6 Rounds
- Real life #1 plate for the champion
- Qualifying & Race Server: dm.flowtechmxs.com:19846

Schedule:

Round 1: 2015 GP of Talavera De La Re: September 2nd
Round 2: 2013 GP of Valkensward: September 9th
Round 3: 2013 GP of Uddevalla: September 16th
Round 4: 2015 USGP of Unadilla: September 23rd
Round 5: 2013 GP of Agueda: September 30th
Round 6: 2014 GP of Qatar: October 7th

License:
A pro licence is not required to race the pro class although having experience racing in pro EMF or rF is recommended. If you are a pro rF rider you MUST ride this class as you will not be allowed to line up for ams.

Numbers:
Being our first pro championship there are no set numbers yet, so riders may run any number they desire except #1. Keep in mind after this championship we will be enforcing our number system which is similar to the CMRC system.

Amateur Class Info:

Quick Bits:
- Friday's @ 9:00 PM EST
- 2 Moto's, 20 minutes + 2 laps each
- Open Format
- 6 Rounds
- Real life #1 plate for the champion
- Qualifying & Race Server: dm.flowtechmxs.com:19847

Schedule:

Round 1: 2015 GP of Talavera De La Re: September 4th
Round 2: 2013 GP of Valkensward: September 11th
Round 3: 2013 GP of Uddevalla: September 18th
Round 4: 2015 USGP of Unadilla: September 25th
Round 5: 2013 GP of Agueda: October 2nd
Round 6: 2014 GP of Qatar: October 9th

License:
If you have scored any pro points in rF this year you may NOT race this class.

Numbers:
Since we are holding off on enforcing our CMRC styled system until the next championship we decided to do a small reserved number system for this series. #1-10 are reserved for the riders that finished #1-10 in the previous championship. The riders can choose whether or not they want to run the number, but no one but them can run it. Everyone else can run any number 11-999.

Reserved Numbers:

#1: Chris Schmieder
#2: Grant Slater
#3: Grant Dawson
#4: Justin Harper
#5: Ethan Parks
#6: Jeremy Atkinson
#7: Clay Roberts
#8: Chris Santino
#9: Johnnie McIntyre
#10: Alex Heckman

The final round of the DM amateur motocross championship saw Chris Schmieder take home the championship by 6 points over Grant Slater. Good job to both of them for battling all the way to the final moto.

The next DM series will be another national series in September, details on it will be out around the 24th of this month.

Also we are going to start pushing the DM forum more as we dive more into sim, it's an easy place where we can post polls and you guys can voice your opinions on stuff we do. We are also accepting donations to help keep the servers running, anything is greatly appreciated.

Stats / DM National Numbers For Series 1 & 2
« on: October 14, 2014, 10:09:09 PM »
This system is based on the AMA national number system with a few tweaks. Only the top 3 in overall points and champions are given permanent numbers. With numbers 2-9 being reserved for said champions. National numbers will be given every 2 series run by DM. So the upcoming Supercross championship counts as one series, and then the one after that will count as the second series.  After they are completed new national numbers will be assigned and permanent numbers given.

So what are national numbers?
National numbers is a number given to a rider based on the amount of points he/she scored in a championship. The higher you up in the points the lower the number you get. And if you finish in the top 3 overall you get to choose any number from 10-999 as your permanent number. If you win a championship you can choose any number between 2-999.  The number you assigned is the number you run on your bike and jersey, and can be equipped by going to your motocard and selecting jersey number.

*You MUST run your assigned number for the next 2 DM series. There will be a section on the sign up sheets for you to put your number.
*If you did not earn a number in the list below but want to race in the upcoming DM series, you must run a 3 digit number from 100-999 during the series. You will then be assigned a 2 digit number the next time national numbers are given out.

General Discussion / MVA Team Gear
« on: July 19, 2014, 04:51:51 PM »
Some us in the MVA crew have started running the same gear. We would like for other members of MVA to run the same gear, but obviously it's not required.

Gear:
Jersey & Pants- Thor Core: Blue
Boots- Sidi Crossfire SRS: White/white
Helmet: Thor Force: Composite White
Goggles: Riders preference, although most guys run the Oakley Crowbar goggles.
Neck brace/Chest protector: Rider preference
